Who We Are

Our website address is: https://frivillig.intra.dyrenesvenner.gl.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Profile Data

When you register on the website, you may be asked to provide certain personal data that will be visible on your profile. The “Name” field is required and is public, and user profiles are visible to all visitors to the site. Other profile information may be required or optional, depending on the configuration set by the website administrator.

User information provided during account registration can be modified and removed via the Profile > Edit panel. In most cases, users also have control over who can see specific parts of their profile content, with visibility for individual fields limited to contacts, logged-in users, or administrators. Website administrators can view and edit all profile data for all users.

Activity

The website records certain user actions in the form of “activity” data. Activity includes updates and comments written directly in the activity stream, as well as descriptions of other actions performed while using the website, such as new contacts, new group memberships, and profile updates.

The content of activity items is subject to the same privacy rules as the context in which the activity items were created. For example, activity updates made on a user profile are publicly visible, while activity items generated within a private group are only visible to members of that group. Website administrators can view all activity items regardless of their content.

Activity items can be deleted at any time by the users who created them. Website administrators can edit all activity items.

Messages

The content of private messages is only visible to the sender and recipients of the message. Private messages are never visible to other users or visitors to the website, with the exception of website administrators, who can read all private messages. Website administrators can delete the content of any message.

Cookies

We use a cookie to display success and error messages to logged-in users in response to certain actions, such as joining a group. These cookies do not contain personal data and are deleted immediately after the next page is loaded.

We use cookies on group, member, and activity lists to keep track of a user’s browser preferences. These preferences include both the most recently selected values in sorting and filtering drop-down menus and information about pagination. These cookies do not contain personal data and are deleted after 24 hours.

When a logged-in user creates a new group, we use cookies to track the group creation process. These cookies do not contain personal data and are deleted either after the group has been successfully created or after 24 hours.

Media

When you upload media to this site, we store the file and associated metadata (title, description, tags, privacy settings). Images may be processed for EXIF data removal.

Social interactions (reactions, comments, follows, favorites) are stored in our database and linked to your user account. You can manage these through your profile settings.

When you request deletion of your personal data, all media files, social interactions, and associated metadata will be permanently removed from our systems.
